By way of introduction, I am Saundra Scott-Adams, the owner of RA Junction. I have had RA for 20 years. I just got my first firm diagnosis of RA and osteoarthritis after 20 years of searching for answers.  I am a retired Registered Nurse who holds an active license in Kentucky. I have  over 20 years of nursing experience in home health, both in direct care and in administration. As a home health nurse, I spent most of my career teaching my patients how to live healthy, productive lives with their chronic diseases. I started this site because I am on a mission to help others with RA  find ways to fight their disease now. I don’t want you to spend 20 years looking for answers .

Due,in part, to the difficult environment, many professionals in today’s medical community are forced to work, they do not have the time to spend focusing on all facets of our disease. It is up to us to do our own research. I believe that our best way to fight RA is knowledge about our disease so we know how to ask the right questions and become our own patient advocates. I hope this blog will provide you with the information about RA that will put  you on a path to a successful, happy life with RA.

I hope you will become an active member of RA Junction. I want to provide you with the information and support you need. We also need to work together to increase awareness of rheumatoid arthritis so we can push for research that will provide a cure for RA.
